Overview

What this support means.

Medium Term Accommodation, or MTA, is temporary NDIS-funded accommodation for eligible participants who have a confirmed longer-term housing outcome but cannot move in yet. It is not general emergency housing.

Support may include

  • A stable temporary place to live
  • Daily supports arranged through relevant plan funding
  • Coordination with the longer-term housing transition
  • Support to maintain routines and community connection
  • Clear communication with the participant and their team
  • Practical planning for the eventual move

Is it a fit?

Who this may suit.

MTA may suit an eligible participant leaving hospital, aged care, rehabilitation or another setting while waiting for home modifications, Specialist Disability Accommodation or another confirmed housing solution.

NDIS funding and individual circumstances vary. Our intake team can discuss your situation, but only the NDIA or your plan manager can confirm how funding applies.
